![]() ![]() One of the things I enjoyed most about Fangirl is how perfectly Rainbow Rowell captures the entire college freshman year experience. Going off to college is one of those major milestones in life that most of us can relate to and so college makes the perfect backdrop for a coming of age story, which is basically what Fangirl is. I think it’s one of those books that is going to resonate with a lot of readers because of how ‘real’ the story and its characters are. Now Cath has to decide whether she’s ready to open her heart to new people and new experiences, and she’s realizing that there’s more to learn about love than she ever thought possible … A tale of fanfiction, family, and first love. She’s horribly shy and has always buried herself in the fan fiction she writes, where she always knows exactly what to say and can write a romance far more intense than anything she’s experienced in real life. Now they’re off to university and Wren’s decided she doesn’t want to be one half of a pair any more – she wants to dance, meet boys, go to parties and let loose. ![]() ![]() Synopsis from Goodreads: Cath and Wren are identical twins, and until recently they did absolutely everything together. Genres: Contemporary Fiction, Young Adult Fiction Published by Pan Macmillan on January 30th 2014 ![]()
